Ensuring sufficient space to support the College's academic and operational needs is critical to fulfilling its mission and meeting the workforce demands of Central Ohio. Columbus State is a key partner to regional employers, providing training and education that align with the evolving needs of the Central Ohio workforce.
Acquiring this property will help the College address long-term operational space needs, including storage, facilities maintenance, and shipping and receiving functions. Furthermore, Columbus State already owns adjacent properties, and this acquisition will enable more efficient and strategic use of the College's existing land assets. As Central Ohio experiences extraordinary economic growth, the demand for education and workforce training continues to rise. This acquisition will enhance the College's capacity to respond to these demands and strengthen its ability to serve students, faculty, and the community.
The Columbus State Community College Board of Trustees approved this purchase at its meeting on September 25, 2025.
