The Department of Development's Community Services Division administers the Ohio Housing Trust Fund, which provides funding for a full range of housing activities, including rental assistance, housing counseling, homebuyer assistance, handicapped accessibility modifications, rehabilitation, home repair, and new construction. All programs funded by the Ohio Housing Trust Fund are focused on providing services to low-income Ohioans.
Part of the Ohio Housing Trust Fund budget is an allocation for the Housing Assistance Grant Program for $4,585,755. Through eligible Ohio nonprofits, the Housing Assistance Grant Program enables homeowners to stay in their homes by providing emergency home repairs and renovations for handicap accessibility.
